BALANCE OF ENERGY INTAKE AND EXPENDITURE

Balancing the amount of energy in and energy out over time is to maintain individual’s weight. Inadequacy in energy intake may cause underweight and overweight. Overweight is due to the energy intake is greater than the energy expenditure while underweight is the other way round. Your weight status can be calculated by the Body Mass Index (BMI).
